2009 STAR Academy
This prestigious group of the most successful individuals from
across our company is recognized for their leadership and
achievement of superior results throughout the year.
All National STAR Academy honorees received a personal thank you
letter from Chairman Terry Lundgren along with an extra 10 percent
discount for one year beginning June 1, 2010, through May 31, 2011.
At the annual recognition events held during April and May, STAR
Academy honorees were also presented a framed congratulations
certificate from Ron Klein, chief stores officer, and Mark Cosby,
president, stores; along with their STAR Academy pin, Silver Star
and a Macy’s engraved crystal paperweight.
The honorees represented the top divisional vice president,
store manager, sales manager, support manager, sales associate,
support associate, merchant and planner team and regional support
executive for the eight Macy’s regions.
The top executive and the top sales associate from
Bloomingdale’s and each of our support divisions were
recognized for their superior leadership skills and overall
performance for fiscal 2009.
